'Wild in Lens' - Photography Exhibition and 'Celebrating Urban Birds' on 10th March 2021


The Department of Post Graduate Studies in Applied Zoology, Alva's college, has organized 'Wild in Lens' - Photography Exhibition and 'Celebrating Urban Birds' on 10th March 2021 at PG Quadrangle, Alva's College, Moodubidire. This program was conducted on account of 'World Wildlife Day 2021'. A total of 85 photographs showcasing various species of insects, amphibians, birds, reptiles and mammals captured by M.Sc. Zoology students Mr.  Kartik G. Salehittal, Ms. Sudeshna and Ms. Vinutha were exhibited. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Balakrishna Shetty, Administrative Officer, Alva's college.  He also inaugurated 'Celebrating Urban Birds' by providing water and grains to bird feeders created by students using waste materials, which will be installed in various sites in the campus. Dr. Rashmi K., Coordinator of PG Applied Zoology,  Dr. Shruthi S., Ms. Noushin Banu, Mrs. Pushpa G.R., Faculties of P.G. Applied Zoology and Dr. Rama Bhat, Coordinator, PG Biotechnology were present in the programme.
